Thursday Trick to Try: Camouflage Your Furniture

A few coats of paint & an innovative idea?? We're smitten with this storage solution.

We really loved touring this Manhattan rental in our June issue. From menswear-inspired textiles to gorgeous art adorning the walls, the space is bursting with thoughtful design details. But what really caught our eye is the custom credenza!

The team behind Common Bond Design faced a unique challenge when their client needed more storage, but already had a matching bedroom set. Instead of pursuing a similar piece, they took the DIY approach and camouflaged a brand new credenza against the inky blue wall. The result is a bold disguise that adds dimension AND solves New York City’s common storage problem.

(Paint color is Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue.)
