Thursday Trick to Try: Make an Alternative Headboard

Don't have a headboard? Get creative!

If you don’t have a headboard, this decorator trick is a quick and easy way to fix that! You just need to get a little creative and think outside the box.

In our example image, Jane Aldridge leaned decorative wood planks against the wall to create the illusion of a headboard. This would also work with two vintage doors, or even some gorgeous fabric panels. The best part about this “trick” is that the options are endless. There are no rules on size, pattern, or material. Just choose something that you’ll love seeing when you first wake up!

If you already have a beautiful headboard but are ready for a change, follow Crystal’s lead with this quick DIY. Yet another unique option that only takes a few minutes but has huge results.
