It seems like the travel habits of our parents are a thing of the past. Forget the big capitals of the world, folded maps, and menus with pictures on it — we’re looking for something more authentic. Sure, there’s excitement at exploring a new city but we’re also starting to realize the wonderful regenerative potential of spending time outdoors away from it all. But… it’s hard to forgo the fun-factor of boutique hotels. We’re here to tell you that there’s a solution: Autocamp.
Located on the Russian River just north of San Francisco, Autocamp features luxury Airstreams and tents that have all of the top design and comfort qualities that give it that “vacation” feel. Designed by Geremia Design, each Aistream is outfitted with a Casper mattress, Coyuchi bedding (about as luxurious as you can get!), and Malin + Goetz bath products. Not to mention, a comfy plush robe to get cozy with while sipping a glass of wine or reading a book. There’s also a main club house by Anacapa Architecture with an indoor and outdoor fireplace, a bar, and wifi throughout the property (so yes, you can disconnect but if you have to look up that song you have stuck in your head, you’ll be able to have access to the internet).
Located in the Redwood Forest, this outdoor lodging experience is like Camping 3.0. All the amenities (hello spa shower!) to make it a comfortable experience, leaving you to just fully enjoy the outdoors. You can rent bikes, have a picnic in a meadow nearby, go canoeing or take a quick drive to the ocean. Even for the most reluctant of campers, Autocamp is an undeniably attractive experience.
