A few weeks ago, we told you about the Graduate Hotel in Berkeley, CA. With collegiate-inspired artwork and those beautiful yellow velvet headboards, it was a pretty popular feature with our readers. Naturally, when we heard that Graduate Hotels had opened up in Lincoln, Nebraska — we had to take a look!

Located in the Haymarket District of downtown Lincoln, the 16-story, 231-room hotel shows off the city’s unique sense of style with each detail. The lobby features herringbone wood floors with forest green subway tiles and a hint of black & white cow print. There are old-school arcade games and a communal table where guests are encourage to gather. (The perfect meeting place for game day?!) In true Graduate Hotel form, there’s a sense of humor with a lot of the playful design elements. In each room, old-fashioned TV nightstands pay homage to Johnny Carson, who was born and raised in the state. There is also a pattern, in the form of drapes and wallpaper, that looks a bit like the famous Beverly Hills palm print. Upon closer look, however, it’s corn! (That really made us smile.)

There is also an amazing on-site restaurant: John J’s Chow Hall, a classic American eatery, serving daily breakfast and dinner as well as weekend brunch. It’s just off of the lobby and feels very Americana. It also has retractable garage doors which are perfect on hot summer days, and a cocktail menu of tiki-inspired beverages. For food, you can expect characteristic American fare, like country steaks and fried chicken, and rhubarb pie for dessert.

If you find yourself heading to Lincoln, this is the place to be! If not, be sure to check out Graduate’s other locations here.
