Earlier this summer, our friends at Previously Owned by a Gay Man showed us how to recreate one of our most popular rooms ONLY using items from their inventory — this means home furnishings and decor that are previously owned and sourced from designers, influencers and, of course, the ever-tasteful gay man. The story was a hit and they’re back again with another edition of How’d They Do That.

This time, they’re pulling inspiration from a Hollywood Hills home by Carter Design. (You can catch the full tour here.) As expected, they did a fantastic job translating the effortless, eclectic vibe of the place. It’s formal but welcoming with just the right pop of color. Get a closer look at the room + shop the pieces they’d recreate it with in our slideshow.
