If you haven’t heard of Soho House, it’s probably for the best. What we mean is that ignorance is bliss when it comes to something as cool as this! A series of private members club for creatives, Soho House‘s various locations in the UK and in the US have been meeting places for the world’s urban elite, each with its own style and touch. That’s why we were excited to see how their newest edition in Barcelona turned out. What would Soho House’s interpretation of the Spanish city on the coast be…

Located in a 19th century building in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, this Soho House has a Catalan-meets-rustic feel: warm mediterranean colors and tile, antiqued bronze fixtures and vaulted ceilings. True to Barcelona’s artistic influence at the turn of the century, modern art hangs on almost every wall giving it an edgy touch.

But let’s get down to the amenities…because after all Soho House is a “club”. Here you’ll find an indoor swimming pool (with some of the coolest tiled walls we’ve seen!), rooftop pool and bar, private screening room, Cowshed Spa and Gym (that means a spinning class to wake you up after a late night), the club floor with a private events space overlooking the Port Vell marina, Cecconi’s restaurant, and “The Green Room” — a speakeasy that’s perfect for a nightcap. But don’t worry if you are not a member, their bedrooms are available to non-members from 260€ a night, giving you access to the whole building. We have to say, a stay here would make us conflicted — stay in to lavish in its cool spaces or venture out into Barcelona? Both sound very appealing.
