San Diego’s Estate Weddings and Events has made a name for themselves sourcing the very best venues- for filming, group travel, corporate events, weddings and more. They have a constant pulse on the industry, and a knack for uncovering hidden gems with major wow-factor. Encuentro Guadalupe Antiresort, nestled in the heart of the Guadalupe Valley, is no exception. It’s a resort just 90 minutes south of San Diego, and the ultimate destination for the style-obsessed, eco-conscious traveler. The only thing better than the sweeping views of wine country is the innovative architecture and impactful interior design.

In addition to the elegant minimalism and dreamy desert setting, Encuentro Guadalupe has recently introduced a new catering and events department. Led by Chef Flor Franco, guests can enjoy a true farm-to-table experience while sipping on beverages dreamt up by the talented cocktail crafters of Snake Oil Cocktail Company. Of course, the eco-escape has always been desirable, but it’s safe to say that it’s evolved into the ideal location for special events… like an intimate destination wedding for the impossibly stylish bride & groom.

If you’re a regular on Rue Daily, you’ll know we’ve pined over the resort many times before, and the idea of hosting a wedding there sent us over the moon. Lucky for us, Estate Weddings and Events transformed the concept into a reality that we’ll be swooning over for weeks to come. Playing off the natural beauty of the landscape, Catharine of CBS Lifestylist and Tam of Isari Flower Studio created the wedding reception of our dreams. Using the cheerful colors of Mexico and traditional Navajo prints, the vibrant tablescape is a breath of fresh air. Geometric patterns sit alongside succulents and ombré blooms pop against the otherwise minimalist setting. The colorful fiesta only enhances the neutral palette of the terrain. We’ll admit- with a menu crafted specifically for the event, local wines flowing, and the sun setting over the valley, Encuentro Guadalupe almost seems too good to be true. However, the accessibility might be what makes it so desirable. Needless to say, we’ll be booking our tickets immediately… and maybe even dreaming up a wedding of our own.
