Best Of: Cost Plus World Market

World Market offers an eclectic mix of home goods alongside international delights

We at Rue love browsing Cost Plus World Market, but considering the length of time we can get lost in the imported food section alone, we wanted to share our current favorites. There is always a wide selection of pillows and home textiles, but this bright ikat pattern is perfect for spring (it’s right around the corner, we swear!) A set of horn vases makes a fabulous gift and looks great all on its own. At that price, you can pick up a set for yourself, too.

Another standout piece that we can’t wait to snatch up and take home is the tall terrarium, which would make the perfect centerpiece for summer al fresco dining. Fill it with succulents that have some height to take advantage of its size. Looking for the perfect set of bowls that can do double duty, holding your mise en place while you cook and then for your guests’ ice cream when dinner is done! Add pattern and color with a set of four.

We tend to head to World Market for small decorative items, but it can be a great resource for larger items as well. Been scouring the antique bazaars and flea markets but haven’t come across just the perfect lamp for your living room to pull everything together? How about this one made of mercury glass? Thinking of adding a side table in your den, but also need extra seating when guests are over? This stool can do double duty. No matter your needs, Cost Plus World Market has you covered. If we can just continue past the chocolate selection.
